Frequently Asked Questions

There are numerous ways to volunteer with the Department and not all involve running into burning buildings, responding to brush fires, or answering first responder calls:

One: Attend a Bergheim ASSIST meeting and become involved with this new auxiliary group.  Their focus is to support our volunteer firefighters and first responders and to enhance our spirit of family and community.

Two: Contact a Board member to discuss other ways to volunteer – such as fund raising, helping with the newsletter which includes some time spent preparing envelopes for mailing, or performing a variety of miscellaneous tasks at the fire station.

Contributions in the form of cash, checks, or appreciated stocks are welcome. Check and cash donations can be mailed to Bergheim VFD,  P.O. Box 4141,  Bergheim, TX 78004.
