Training - 2016 Burn House
Monday, February 15, 2016

On February 13, 2016, members from the Bergheim Volunteer Fire Department conducted a series of live burn training exercises at the Guadalupe Fire Field.  Members were instructed on fire behavior, hose deployment, hydraulic ventilation, search and rescue operations, and victim retrieval.  Members were required to don full bunker gear and SCBA and enter a "burning" structure with charged hoses.  For many of our new members this was the first time they have been exposed to these conditions.  Everyone did a great job!

Volunteers from Sisterdale VFD and Kendalia VFD served as Safety Officers during all live burn training.

Members from the Bergheim Assist were on hand to provide much needed rehab and prepared an awesome lunch for us.
